Shine Down - Contender for 'worst songwriters ever!'
In the title I'm of course assuming they actually write their own music, which is generally a 50/50 shot these days it seems. However, even if they didn't write it themselves they deserve to be scorned for singing this shit.
I'd like to know if ANYONE knows what the hell half of these lyrics even mean. Obviously the 'theme' of the song is obvious, but I just can't relate half of the lyrics to the theme.

My eyes are open wide
And by the way, I made it
Through the day
I watched the world outside
By the way, I'm leaving out
Today
I just saw Hayley's comet
She waved
Said why you always running
In place?
Even the man in the
Moon disappeared
Somewhere in the
Stratosphere (Seriously. What the hell!?)
[Chorus]
Tell my mother,
Tell my father
I've done the best I can
To make them realize
This is my life
I hope they understand
I'm not angry, I'm just saying...
Sometimes goodbye
Is a second chance
Please don't cry
One tear for me
I'm not afraid of
What I have to say
This is my one and
Only voice
So listen close, it's
Only for today (This is my one and only voice. But only for today! ... apparently)
I just saw Hayley's comet
She waved
Said why you always running
In place?
Even the man in the
Moon disappeared
Somewhere in the
Stratosphere (Again. What the hell!?)
[Chorus]
Tell my mother,
Tell my father
I've done the best I can
To make them realize
This is my life
I hope they understand
I'm not angry, I'm just saying...
Sometimes goodbye
Is a second chance
Here's my chance
This is my chance
Tell my mother,
Tell my father
I've done the best I can
To make them realize
This is my life
I hope they understand
I'm not angry, I'm just saying...
Sometimes goodbye
Is a second chance
Sometimes goodbye
Is a second chance [x2]

This song is on the radio CONSTANTLY and it's a terrible piece of music. It gives me flashbacks to Led Zepplin and the age of Ego Rock where the lyrics mean absolutely nothing, but they sound like they're deep and beautiful. Emo without the wrist scars.
