That's great and all Kyle, but every video you make seems to have a similar feel to it.  That and they're always full of fursuits.  I understand for fursuit meets and everything, but this gives a horrible overview of Purrliament.  Almost as though if you weren't with the fursuiters (or had a fursuit), then there was no point in coming.

There's not a bit of footage from the artists, game room and show room.  Ashes, who organised the whole thing, seems to be completely omitted.  IK, which was being a really good sport and volunteering a lot of his time is missing too.

I'm sorry I can't really give any constructive criticism on the video point though.  Not my field.  All I know is that it's very often just... footage of fursuiters with generic techno songs overlay'd on top of it.  At least that's what it looks like to my untrained eyes.

I'm actually pretty sure that there isn't a single piece of photographic proof of my attendnace except for what was filmed by the Algonquin students.

However, in Dusk's defense, he's only editing the material that he had access for.  After actually looking at what photos and video have turned up from previous events, there's actually very little material being captured other than fursuiters.

There seem to be a few reasons.  One, of course, the fursuiters seem to be the most interesting thing going on with their crazy fursuit antics and what not.  Another is a seemingly high requirement for 'privacy' in the furry fandom, with many worried about their faces being captured and shared and others worrying about offending these types.

This is something, I'm admittidly unused too.  I've been to anime cons where CBC and YTV show up.  After I get home from an anime con, for the rest of the week I'm getting facebook alerts in my Gmail because someone tagged me in another photo or another.  In November I once had a girl ask me for my photo cause she liked my pants. o.O  And got the Facebook tag notification 4 days later.

(Or it could be the carbon-copy of this thread that's in "Links" that you're thinking of)

Wait, there was more to this thing than the fursuiters?  :P

Rumor has it.  At first I thought that only the mass media focused on the fursuiters, which resulted in a disproportionate ammount of focus on the fursuiters.  (Granted it keeps the media from ever catching on to the furry drama.)  It seems the furries are primarily interested in the fursuiters too.

...Man would a Dr Phil episode on Furry Drama be awesome or what?  I'd pay to see that.  "Now Allan, you are thirty seven years old, you don't have a job, you live in hotels, you beg for money on the internet but what's worse is how you spend it.  Tell our audiance Allan, how much you have spent on art."

This is unfortunately true. For every video i've made, privacy has been a number 1 issue. (Why do you think you will never see some fursuiters faces in my vids??) With every vid i need to ask every person involved permission to use footage that contains them.

I will admit the vids i make do all seem tolook alike at this point. But thats not the point in making them. (I just do it as a pass time, my only important regard being privacy) Especially since i put them all on Youtube.

But for whoever might be interested, i AM making another video less centralised on the fursuit aspect of it all. Noting that because faces will be shown, i wont post it on Youtube. There will be a link up here to megaupload for this one in the upcoming weeks.
