1. My work, (The Youth Services Bureau), is sending me to Toronto this Wednesday, and on the 18/19, to meet with an MP of a party (NDP, Liberals, Conservatives) and talk about The Advocacy Office and Youth issues. I get to ask them a question, and I pretty much do a presentation on what the MP and I have discussed.....THAT WILL BE RECORDED! Voice recorded, Video recorded, even written out! (Wuffy is nervous >//<) This is exciting because they are paying for my flight, paying for my hotel room and food, and they are also paying me! I do believe it's around $20 an hour? :3 Thing is, I'm deathly afraid of planes >.<



2. I have applied and got the position for MC of the Rainbow Youth Forum, a creating safer schools conferece. :3 So if you go to highschool or get the chance to come out, you can see me^^. They loved my audition x3 I came dressed half a girl and half a guy and I did this crazy amazing audition. <3


3. Yay for Youth Housing! I talked with a Councillor, and she says I'm eligible to move out to Youth Housing. My expenses will be geared to how much I'm making, and I get a living allowance for groceries. The unfortunate thing is I hafta live alone ;-;


I think that's about it....

Sounds awesome Ben! Don't worry planes aren't that bad. Think of it as a roller coaster ride and just enjoy it! :P Bring gum or hard candy to suck on during take off and landing, especially if you have a cough or cold. (swallowing opens up the airways in your throat Releases pressure change in the ear) But yeah I fly all the time, it's fun :P

Meh, I don't mind planes much, but the only time I ever flew in one was in 2005, when I emmigrated. One helluva long trip... 8 hours <.< >.>

My longest was to Vancouver --> Tokyo while en-route to from Toronto --> Bejing

Hey, for a guy at the age of 17, I kinda find that that's long enough. I really don't wanna know how long you've been stuck inside one of those flying tin cans for. Nevertheless, the movie choice wasn't that bad in-flight. Watched Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, and found my love for the number 7.

well, jump on the chance to go do that MP thing. thats a step up and a foot in the door to a higher position. you gotta start climbing the ladder sometime. you're lucky you get to start at 18. alot of people are just beer bonging through life at that age. i was. jump on this opportunity.

fear of flying? whatever. for $20/hour you shut the hell up and take the free trip. not many 18 year olds get the chance to make that much.


youth housing? i dunno man, thats all up to you. don't take anyone else's advice on your domestics. if you're really really stuck, and can't make up your mind, ask an adult. a successful one. that's a bit heavier stuff.

but congrats on the gig, the promotion, and the offer.

I flew from Sydney, Australia to Toronto, Canada.

Sydney to Narita, Japan; 5 hours.
Narita to Vancouver, 9 hours.
Vancouver to Toronto, 8 hours.

I had never flown before. Ever. I did the paperwork, immigration, passport, costs, flight times, all by myself.

I had a ball.

Believe me, Ottawa to Toronto will be like taking a car trip. In fact, that's the ticket; think of it as a highly overrated bus ride. That's all it is.

Take off is FUN. Not even 'exhilarating', just fun.
