The Quetzen Empire! (Long read, opinion needed)

Postby Duster » 28 Sep 2008, 21:56

Ok, this is not my fursona, but is very related to the stories I make up, following everything it ever had to do with the fandom (In other words, my business in the furry fandom is over, and these guys are the reason why!)

Copy-pasted from many other places where I posted it, here it is. Enjoy the read, and give either feedback, opinion, 'things to correct or clarify', etc. :}

The Quetzen Empire (history)

The deceased Vicktor Brandsfore left behind him many treasures, one of which was not a valuable gem, but was a complete genetic hybrid race known as the ravenous, sociopathic Quetzen. The term, which apparently is coincidentally the name of a German city, was meant to be a portmanteau between Quetzalcoatl, and chicken. It describes creatures that are both godly, and ruled by charm and hard labor.

When self-proclaimed Emperor Vicktor Brandsfore, alias Vicks, joined the furry world in order to save his own world from destruction, he decided he needed reliable backup, in terms of manpower. The genes used in the recipe of the Quetzen race consists of dragon, kitsune, and phoenix genes. A breed that cannot be obtained naturally, ever, ever. Only Vicktor knew how to breed them, and it was at his own hands. He paternized the race while creating the 'perfect offspring', which turned out to be a spectacular creature.

When people want to describe a Quetzen, they recognize their features: Some say they are long, serpentine, vicious, sometimes, land eels, merciless raptor things, cockatrices without the stone parts, etcetera. A Quetzen's body is, clearly enough, a snake-like body with a rib cage, right below a thin neck. A round head is covered with a colorful fur, usually unkept and spiky, depending on personal fashion, and should the case allow, hygiene. The rib cage, as well as the shoulders and breast, along with the arms, are also covered in  the same colorful fur as the head, but most Quetzen have a golden collar of fluff around the base of the neck between the shoulders. It is a grunt's pride to have a well groomed and cared collar. The arms of Quetzen end up with small hands with long webbed fingers, completely covered in feathers. The feathers are the same color as the rest of the fur on the body. After a travel down the waist, legs stick out of a basin, which area is also covered in fur. The Quetzen's thigh are furred up to the knee, and their feet, taloned and prehensile, are bare, three long toes, and sharp claws. at their back, an equaly bare and prehensile tail sticks out.

The Quetzen are really ugly, and in order to thrive, will need to work on charm and beauty to attract partners. This ugliness also helps them look
more intimidating against predators and others.

The ruling of Vicks was sick, tyrannic, and dictatorial. In order to sculpt his army, all of the young chicks were sorted by genders, and all the males were immediately executed. The remaining females were then exiled into their own world, where they had built academies and fortresses to live and thrive into. Upon request, Vicks must summon troops that are combat-ready, obedient, competent, spontaneous, and crafty, in terms of effectiveness. To achieve this, all custodied Quetzen chicks are raised in the arts of combat, sorcery, alchemy, geography, science, fletchery, sharpshooting, and need to be very well informed of their father's ongoing worlds.

Their father was a Noble dragon, and the heritage's influence makes of the Quetzen race eager to please, obey, follow, and respect their elders and leaders. Thus, all of the members are soulbound to Vicktor, and would obey him to the end... And when the time of betrayal came, the Quetzen princesses joined forces against Vicktor, and his death left behind a race of lonely, trapped, confused ladies with no hopes or future, hidden in their own world. But not out in despair.

In a world ruled by barbaric women, with only curiousity about the opposite gender as a motive to explore the outside world, the Quetzen race has been set up to study housekeeping, and how to be good wives even if they had never seen a male or interacted with one that was not their father. Generally up only to kill and conquer, the generic Quetzen grunt will fulfill its mission, and be rewarded with a choice of treat, which is either an outing in the wilderness of urban life in order to meet civilians in a peaceful manner, or to get body enhancements, either aesthetically to look more physically attractive, or to become faster, stronger, more alert, and more motivated to serve the empire; the stronger and better the skills, the more victories await, the more outings will be allowed. Once a generic Quetzen can find a love partner, they use their family skills to leave the empire and start life on their own. Such is the motive of all Quetzen women.

more ugly Quetzen! They seem to exist only to incarnate stress, always ready to kill something, all the time.

Rare, dangerous cases of hermaphrodites happened in the early broods of Quetzen. Most males were immediately executed, but some bi-sexuated members were taken into higher levels of the empire, as for not causing uproars among their sisters. Jealousy would consume a warrior's concentration, hermaphrodite individuals could be shunned, or even raped if they were to be unprotected at an all-time. Fortunately, the few ones were successfully grown into good leaders and well-respected in the outcome. However, further hermaphrodites and shemales must be taken to the heads of the Quetzen empire pronto, since Vicktor passed away and the Quetzen have no more motivator, dealing with new offspring would provide a challenging difficulty.

The Quetzen Empire is, silly enough, following a hierarchy based on the color of their fur. All of the lesser members, which includes huntresses, grunts, and scholars, are of the darkest indigo, occasionally purple, violet, rarely blue, pink, or even red. As a Quetzen lives out of experience, a brighter tint discolors and enhances the pigmentation, brightening as the Quetzen grows stronger and prettier. Once set in the wild for its first time, the Quetzen is a very dangerous and smart, and clever individual, capable of building its own camp and weapons out of its environment, and can hunt equally clever preys and predators, and use the dead bodies for either food, or more weapons. Generally able on their own, a party of 5 Quetzen is more than enough to be on a mission altogether. Dead Quetzen mean little, the entire empire constantly swells in numbers thanks to the 6 Queens.

The peak of the military branch of the Empire are the pale-furred Quetzen. These are generally the most experienced and wisest members of the group. Quetzen which are pure white are easily identified by their appearance. The Geishas, generally the most beautiful and gorgeous of the Quetzen, live into the empire as military spies, and assassins. They are, unlike their less-experienced sisters, able to wear traditional geisha clothings, sometimes consisting of masks, robes, kimonos. The next peak is the one who is constantly monitored by the Quetzen heads. They are the fastest, strongest members of the Quetzen empire, the Elites. The elites wear the traditional Elite battle armor, which consists of a large spherical headwear adorned with electronic specs containing infra-red sensors, a UV-scanner, night vision, and telescopic zoom option. The rest of the battle suit is usually iron patches over a soft jumpsuit. Elites are allowed the special weapons, such as their own personal ray guns and beam swords.

Two not-so-bad-looking Quetzen sisters.

Under no more circumstances the Quetzen brood had had a metallic colored underling born as of yet. Silver-colored Quetzen are the Lesser Princesses. These are silver-furred, and adorn some large, colorful coifs of plumes on the head, and around the waist near the tail. They have no extraordinary difference besides the color, but they are much wiser and more respected since they carry out and administer the Quetzen parties. After Vicktor's disappearance, the lesser princesses have been the ones summoning groups of Quetzen to execute tasks. The next branch consists of the highest rank among the sisterhood, the High Princesses. High princesses govern the sisterhood's factions, and guides them across lands. They are also sent by the Queens to other worlds to find places to expand the next generations of Quetzen. The High Princesses are much more limited in numbers, than the lesser princesses. Most of them were working hard alongside with the Father of the Quetzen, as well, including the double-faced Dixie, and the cruel Emily.

Image
High Princess Emily was forced into the sisterhood's highest circle by nature, this despite her being guilty of theft, abuse, rape, interracial homicide, and betrayal. That large bust shows how self-centered and greedy she can be.

Not late after Vicktor's death, the Quetzen entered a civil war, which was caused when the demented high princess Emily started lusting over her fellow sisters. She had trapped many in her quarters, and violated them, assassinated them, wore their hides, ordered them to steal, and ultimately, she abandoned them only to gain command of another clan, then hunted them down. Still invincible even during the quarrels, Emily's insanity was calmed down when High Princess Dixie came back from her voyage in search for a heaven for the sisterhood. She rounded down everyone, including Emily's own troops, and brought the elitist to their justice and had her forced to leave the Quetzen world in search for a heaven as well. Bringing another pure-hearted princess to the entire caste of high princesses, Dixie and Emily left together with little troops, and were ordered to return only after the loss of their troops, and it would be only to restock a new party. The clans are being managed by the only six queens left in the Quetzen world, while the High Princesses are all busy outside, leading their matured sisters into a never-ending struggle for civilization.

A running quarrel between Emily and Dixie are their motives. The Quetzen military covers a bit more than 99% of the entire race's population. They are terribly hard to confront, even individually. Dixie will bring them into society so that they grow civilized and forget their warring ways, and learn the values of friendship, law, and to finally work outside of their little communist world. Emily, on the other hand, still has her father's ideals in mind, and plots to show off the power of the Quetzen military, the dark face of the sisterhood, and to make them become the new dominant race in all worlds, and end up controlling and safeguarding all other races. Dixie and Emily fought each other multiple times, resulting in them being both the future of the Quetzen race, and the shameful icons of the race.

The Quetzen mentality is not as elaborated as normal people would be. They can be wise, smart, but will always have a bit of a chaotic mindset. One single shout for no reason can send all of their sisters amok and thrashing everything, even if for no reason, making them hard to control and tame. They are also intolerant to other races. They hunt to kill, and starve to hunt. Their diet is very simple. They do not eat much, a can of peas can last them days and they will still be very athletic and in good shape. However, they tend to drink ridiculous amounts of water daily. They are also omnivorous, which allows them to eat fruits, small animals, certain plants, and even meat. Emily once forced cannibalism once, where healthy warriors ate their deceased sisters for their own survival, and had shown no negative side effects as of yet.

As seen, the Quetzen are not stupid... they're just....... smart in their own special way. :}
