People need to wash there hands

Postby Alexlemire » 04 Nov 2009, 07:23

So I'm utterly sick right? Wondered where the hell I got it. Then, working food basics, I found out. People [customers] often cough in there hands, and give me money. =O Not fucking caring if I get sick or not. And I haven't noticed till now. So because sick people don't give a shit about the personal well being of others, I am now sick, and might miss school/work. How is this fair! -Rage-

Health care people have been pushing the caughing and sneezing in your arm for a while, but it's not always the first reflex you have.

And at least people are caughing in their hands rather than just anywhere or directly on you. The flu's going around man. You're gonna have to deal with it. It's your job to protect yourself, not everybody else's.

I've been forcing myself to learn to cough into my arm.

The real issue isn't so much people sneezing into their hands though, I mean, yeah it probably doesn't help. The real answer though is if you're sick STAY HOME.

It sucks if you can't really afford to, but I can't afford to either so how is it fair that you make ME sick by going out and sneezing all over the bus and giving me whatever you have?

I've missed the last 2 days of school and am seriously considering staying home today as well, which blows since I have a midterm on Friday and I missed the last class in that course before it yesterday.

So to whoever decided that they just HAD to go to class/work that day instead of staying home and keeping your infection to yourself? Thanks. Hope it was worth it.

The real problem Meer, and actually the one that is 100% out of everyone's control, is that you're infection before you're sick. If you went out the day before you actually started getting symptoms, odds are you've already infected not only your work place, but a bus load of folks.
If you got sick, don't blame the people going around caughing. Blame all those bastards that were actually healthy when they spread the flu.

It's not that, There's only so much I can do to protect myself. Use the hand sanitzer at work, clean my workstation etc. But if the air is full of bacteria, short of a medical mask [Which isn't allowed cause it's freaks the shit out of the customers] There's nothing I can do!

Well, you can be thankful you're not under 10 or over 60 and won't die from a little bug then ^^ In fact my immune system enjoyed last week's workout : D

Yeah, that's just it though. I used to get sick once a year, barely even. I've gotten sick 6 times this past year. My immune system is shutting down, and I'm really starting to feel it.

Well then all I can say is stay home the day you start feeling ill, don't even take the chance. Because however much you may not like skipping on work, you're also infecting everyone you have contact with in your day...

I think I might have given the flu to a pregnant woman myself >.>

Uhm.. if I stay home I lose my fucking job.

I hate that line, "If you are sick stay home." Ya sure, how the hell do I keep my job if I do that? And if my job does allow me time off, they won't pay me.

How about this, you want me to stay home? Pay me!
