Oh my shit!

It pisses me off.

I hate Second Life.

I want to program a computer dynamite and blow the shit out of it!

>.<

You ask why do I hate it?

There's no one around! I fly around, no one's around. Oh guess what? I'm lost. Great.....>.> No way to get home. I click "Home Point" and I'm back where I started!

Why else? I have the effing fox suit at the beginning. I'm not even a fox! And I see everyone with these cool sexy fursonas ;-;. Where? How? What? ;-;

Anyways, why am I creating this thread? Cause I watched a Second Life Dance >.> And died a little on the inside :/ xD

Well for most of what you're saying there it sounds like a big case of don't-know-how-to-use-it... Of course SL isn't the greatest thing since butter, I take it as a last-resort-boredom thing. But there are tons of free avatars, maybe not your dream one but still. Also there are lots of people online most of the time, just have to be in the right spots.

Get to know the search feature Edit -> Search (CTRL + F). I suggest you find some groups of interest first. From there you'll meet people, and someone will surely be quick to point you over to some free AV or give you one.

SL is... not... good.
Amidst the mists and fiercest frosts,
With barest wrists and stoutest boasts,
I thrust my fists against the posts,
And still insist I see the ghosts.

Let's take this from the top.

Oh my shit!
Interesting deity there.

There's no one around!
Easy fix. Use the in-world search function by hitting Ctrl-F. Search for 'furry' or yiff or horses or Super Mario World Replica or whatever you kids are into these days. Sort by 'Traffic' which is a number describing how busy a place is. Bingo! You will find people. Also helps if you are on at peak times. 5pm-12midnight is rather busy.

I fly around, no one's around. Oh guess what? I'm lost. Great.....>.> No way to get home. I click "Home Point" and I'm back where I started!
Heavy use of landmarking will solve this. A 'landmark' is a bookmark of a place. If you find anything interesting, or if there are any spots that are important to you, landmark em. Landmarks appear in your inventory, and can be renamed at will.

Why else? I have the effing fox suit at the beginning. I'm not even a fox! And I see everyone with these cool sexy fursonas ;-;. Where? How? What? ;-;
You need about 500-1000L$ to get a decent 'suit'. Side point, they are 'furry avatars', and are better searched for via those terms. Recommended spot is the Rocket City Furmeet location in-world. There are others. A quick search for Places>'furry' will give you a nice list.

Dances in-world are fun! They are all about watching your avatar move with animations you could never afford yourself. They are about meeting new people. And the music can be amazing if you look around. I recommend DJ Marx.

For me, it is.

Role play is often more than just stories and dice, my friend. You as a furry should know that better than most.
