Bytown furry Convention 2010, In Ottawa

Yes thats Right, A convention for furries in Ottawa.

After going to FCN this Year I set out to collect information about Making a Convention in Ottawa. Now I know we kind of had other conventions things before, for a few years and people tried to get back on foot a few times, but this is for real.

In any case I've been going over the preperations for a while now and feel that I've only a year and month left. I've found a location, I'm working on a website and I have a set date already, being July 31st and August 1st 2010.

Now This is the first time I actually speak about this on a public mass media sort of place and it wont be the last. I'm setting out to put the word out there that Ottawa is going to have itself a furry convention.

So all you reading this, lay it on me. If anyone is willing to volunteer to help with this endevor I'd be glad to meet up and see what you all can do, if anyone wants to draw up some stuff and sell it, you've got a year. If anyone wants to scream at me and call me insane your welcome to as well :P.

On a more serious note I'm still looking for information and advice. I'm not bad at taking negatice critisism either so please dont be afraid to tell me if you think I'm doing something wrong. All I ask is you be polite. I need well informed individuals that are willing to pass on their wisdom and willing to help see this project successful.

This sounds interesting, and I wouldn't mind helping out with this.

However, there is a chance that I may not be able to go. It depends on if Gold gets tickets to a music festival that occurs through those dates every year...

I wish I could help! In any way I could, as long as it doesn't involve heavy calculations, or hard labor.

I'm looking into insurance at the moment and I'll be posting later on a list of things that would really be helpful if people could just lend them to the convention when the time comes.

August 1st is a Pagan holiday and one in which there is always a weeklong festival out in the woods for. So I know already that I can't go if its that weekend.
